Sharpsville Area High School - Excellence

We are proud to announce that Sharpsville Area High School has earned one of the highest School Performance Profile Scores in the area.  Our staff has worked very hard over the past two years to align curriculum and review/revise it for increased academic rigor.  We have created benchmark assessments in each course to help track student progress toward learning goals.  Teachers across all content areas have adopted 'trouble' anchors, integrating these skills/knowledge into their own course curriculum plans and they have steadily increased the amount and type of technology being used in the classroom.

We are blessed to have the most amazing young men and women as students.  They have accepted the challenges our world has given them and have dedicated themselves to excellence in all areas of school life:  academics, arts, athletics, and general school culture.

Please feel free to visit the School Performance Profile page from the Pennsylvania Department of Education to see the scores for yourself!  http://www.paschoolperformance.org/Profile/4590

We thank this staff, our students, and the entire Sharpsville Area School District community for their support and commitment to excellence.  #BlueDevilPride #BlessedWithTheBest

Grand Opening of Sharpsville High School Credit Union

The Meadville Area Credit Union has partnered with Sharpsville Area High School to offer a unique learning opportunity not often seen in schools.  Several students and staff members were trained in marketing, financial literacy, and bank management in order to open a functioning school-based credit union.

The bank is student run and operated daily during our homeroom period from 7:30-8:05AM.  Students are assisted by a teacher adviser and representatives from the Sharpsville branch of the Meadville Credit Union.  Students can open accounts, deposit, and withdrawal money while learning how to manage their money properly.  Students involved at the operations and management are responsible for developing marketing campaigns and for all management duties.
